So Bob has started going to restaurants with us. I was kind of hesitant at first just because Egypt was still a new thing and I didn't want him to try and play with her - therefore pulling my arm off and making Darrell angry because his guide would temporarily be out of order due to crazy puppy.. Well after the training walk with Michelle I worked up the courage and we took Bob and Egypt to Olive Garden - they did very well! I have started noticing that when they are both "working" they don't really bother each other too much. I think it's mainly because Egypt's demeanor changes so much once she's in harness... She probably gives off that 'Don't mess with me' vibe and Bob doesn't! He doesn't even do that puppy noise in public when she's around (wish he wouldn't do it in class though!) Anyways, thats my little theory for the day.. Here are some pictures taken on my phone to show how he does under the tables lol.
Bob at Olive Garden and then a mexican buffet place (oh he had fun that day haha)
He usually lies there very nicely and doesn't move too much.. however (see below)
Sometimes he just needs to be a puppy haha.
P.S. Sorry for all the pics being 30% blue jeans - I just stick the phone under and push the button hoping I get a good shot lol!

I like your "Thursday theories" title. Thounds like I lithping, dothn't it? (Ha ha, that's my favorite line from On Golden Pond.) That's great that Bob already knows when he's "on duty". I'm sure he picks up a lot from Egypt.
Yay Bob for doing great in restaurants! I have noticed when I have overlapped puppies and now when we have a career changed dog that the older one teaches the younger things that I could not really teach him. I can’t remember which one it was but one of my puppies when he was young was really restless in a restaurant and so didn’t want to sit still. The older one got up moved closer to the younger one and put his head on the younger ones back to pin him down. The younger didn’t move and went to sleep. I have to give credit to Ely for helping shape Rocky to be so calm.
Yeah Bob!! Along with Egypt modeling good behavior, our expectations of the puppies change when we are in those situations. It took me a long time to figure out that it wasn't so much about the puppy coat that changed my dog's behavior, but my own expectations for how that dog should behave in that situation.
Keep up the good work Bob!
Way to go Bob! Looks like you guys are doing great. :-)
Good job Bob, you look soo cute!
Way to go Bob!!! I think a mature working dog really helps. Hosta and I go out with Callie and her SD Elf every week and Hosta seems to really know how to turn it on to impress his uncle Elf. It's cute to see Bob doing the same and learning so quickly!
I do the same thing with sticking hte camera under the table and just snapping pics. I was with my coworkers one day and everyone thought I was snapping inappropriate photos of them!!! It made for a good laugh. Bob is so uber cute!
